Privacy notice
This site collects personal information in one place only: the contact form. This notice describes what it collects, why, where it goes, and how to reach us about it. It is written to meet the openness requirements of PIPEDA and the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act.
What the contact form collects
Your name, your email address, a description of what you are working on, and optionally your organization and how you found us. There are no other fields, and none of them are inferred or enriched from any other source.
Why we collect it
To read your enquiry and reply to it. That is the only purpose. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or disclose it to anyone.
Where it goes
A submission is passed to Resend, a transactional email provider, which delivers it as a single email to our inbox. The site keeps no database and stores no copy of your submission. Resend processes the message on servers outside Canada, which means it is subject to the laws of the country where it is processed.
Spam controls
The form includes a hidden field that people do not see and a check on how long the form was open before submission. These are used to discard automated submissions and neither is stored. There is no CAPTCHA and no third-party bot-detection service.
What else the site stores
Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser’s local storage so the site does not change appearance between visits. It never leaves your browser. Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights collect aggregate, cookieless measurements of page loads and performance; neither sets a cookie and neither is used to identify you.
How long we keep it
Your enquiry stays in our email for as long as the conversation is useful, and is deleted when it is not. If you would rather it went sooner, ask and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction, and ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and a person will answer. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
